Update from the Wisconsin Livestock Breeders Association (WLBA)
The 99th Annual Meeting and Recognition Banquet will be Saturday, March 20th, at the UW-Arlington Research Station Public Events building. The WLBA Annual Meeting is held in conjunction with the State Livestock Quiz and Skillathon Contests, co-hosted by UW-Extension. The day’s events will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration for the quiz and skillathon contests. Registration for the WLBA Recognition Banquet and Annual Meeting will begin at noon , with the banquet slated to start at 1:00 p.m. Details will be available on the WLBA website at http://www.wisconsinlivestockbreeders.com/ and at http://www.uwex.edu/ces/animalscience/youthlivestock/index.cfm.
Attention all Spring Preview Exhibitors! A new date has been set for the WLBA Wisconsin Spring Preview Show in 2010. The show will be held in Jefferson, WI at the Jefferson Fair Park on Saturday, June 12-13th. Beef and sheep shows will remain on Saturday and all swine shows will be held on Sunday.
The Wisconsin Junior Livestock Camp is a great experience for any junior livestock exhibitor. This year's camp is scheduled for June 18-20, 2010 and will be held at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, WI. Youth age 8-19 are eligible to attend.
The 2nd Annual Wisconsin Summer Spectacular Show will be a two day event in 2010 and will be held on August 20-21st in Wausau, WI at the Marathon County Fair Park. Educational contests and a picnic will be held on Friday afternoon and evening and all shows will be held on Saturday.
